Today is the last day of Amy Gentry's curator series. We're ending on a high note with LaToya Watkins' The Mother, which won the Pushcart Prize.
Speaking of Pushcarts, we are tallying votes now and will announce our nominations next week. Stay tuned. We are fortunate to have so many great options for our first year.
On the 14th, Awst Press is taking over the world. Actually, we'll be spread out at different Lit events from here to Georgia. We'll have a table at Austin Zine Fest. If you're in to little things with big schtuff inside, come check out all of the offerings.
LK James will be showing off some of her comics and illustrations at our Bolm St. Studio for E.A.S.T. on the 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd. There's a possibility some of our authors and curators may be hanging out in the studio too. We'll post a schedule whenever we have things figured out. If you can't make it to our studio, go check out our chapbooks at the Conflict of Interest Hub. In fact, they'll have things available from lots of local Lit people, publishers in town.
Liz Blood is headed to The Letters Festival in Atlanta. She'll be manning the Awst Press table, slinging chapbooks, and looking for interview angles. Watch for her social media posts over the course of the week. In addition to the 14th, she'll be there on the 12th and 13th.
Speaking of interviews, Liz is chatting with Donald Quist next week too. She'll have the interview up after she gets back from Atlanta. If you're one of the few not familiar with his work, read his essay, The Animals We Invent. We posted it during our anniversary celebration and it was near viral. We told him he could talk about anything he wanted, so get ready to be floored with extra special brilliance.
We'll start back up with Features after the first of the year. Over the next couple of months, we'll still have things to post especially as we progress with our first book by David Olimpio. We've got lots to do behind the scenes to get ready for a busy 2016. Stay tuned!
